This is a full-time HR Manager position specializing in Payroll & Benefits. The candidate must have a solid understanding of a range of benefit programs such as health and welfare, retirement, time off, etc. MUST have both effective written and verbal communication skills. In addition, must possess solid presentation skills, strong leadership and the ability to engage in teamwork with a positive attitude. BENEFITS: Respond to employee inquiries in a timely mannerand act as liaison between vendor and employees to intercede on employee's behalf to resolve issues and address complaintsEnsure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations which affect employee pay and benefits including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, ACA and HIPPAEnsure compliance, administration and monthly auditing of various employee benefit plans; including, but not limited to health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, flexible spending, and voluntary products.Responsible for the reconciliation of all the benefits monthly invoicesManage third party vendor for the administration of all leave requests (FMLA, PFL disability, workers comp)Administers the organization's benefits programs such as Medical, Dental, Vision, 401KPartners with senior management and brokers for the annual renewal process, including compiling census data, benefit option analysis,Responsible for the annual set-up and scheduling of the open enrollment activities (e.g. Providing all necessary information to carriers, benefit plan configuration in systems, employee communication/meetings, and management of benefit documents for accuracy and compliance requirements, verification of proper enrollment and reporting/billing reconciliation, etc.)Drive continuous improvement, creating better work flow, eliminating errors and inefficiencies and standardizing processes as they relate to payroll and benefits.Ensure compliance with company employment policies as well as Federal, State and Local rules and regulations as it relates to all payroll and benefits processes and programs.Serve as the primary contact and resource for plan vendors and third-party administrators, track vendor performance, ensure cost effective and high quality service for plan participants PAYROLL Responsible for ADP Workforce Now (Pay Expert/HRB) configuration based on Company policies, benefits, mandatory payroll requirements and other items affecting employee data, payroll and benefit administration (including management of Employee Resource/Home page)Analyzes, prepares and processes bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for approximately 200 employeesProcesses all payroll changes in a timely and accurate manner including New Hires & Terminations.Ensures that all wage deductions, deposits, adjustments and garnishments are applied appropriatelyUses ADP time and attendance system to track overtime and exception time-reporting in order to calculate appropriate number of working hours and overtime hours.Manages PTO policy and overall administration of the PTO program rules and proceduresProcess wage verifications e.g. unemployment, loans etc.Ensures compliance with all applicable State and Federal wage and hour laws.Regularly maintains and applies all current knowledge of tax law and compliance regulations to the Payroll and Benefits functionResponsible for tax withholding filingsMonitors and tracks unemployment filings, nondiscrimination filing, EEO-1 filing and other regulatory filingsResponsible for the Annual Worker's Compensation payroll audit, including compiling the requested data for the auditor as well as meeting with the auditor to review the dataSupports employee self-service along with HR and when necessary provide training sessions for Management for ADP
HR INITIATIVES: Lead and continuously improve our Onboarding program, including new hire orientation with an objective of ensuring all new hires receive a proper introduction to the company, their location and their job throughout their first 90 days.Provide information and reports on data such as staff turnover, HR metrics, headcount analysis and organizational charts. This role must be comfortable utilizing technology in order to aggregate and analyze data in order to make fact-based decisions.Manages HR programs and processes related to benefits such as: employee referral, wellness programs (flu shots, health fair), quarterly employee recognition program and other related activities.Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice including HR activities and program development and implementation. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 7-10 years' experience in Benefits, Payroll and Human Resources Management.Bachelor's Degree in related field. Formal Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), preferred. Demonstrated skills using MS Office and other computer applications.Must have at least 5 years' prior experience w/one or more HR Payroll systems (experience with ADP Workforce Now a must), AND system implementations & upgrades.Must possess demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work with competing demands while focusing on accuracy/attention to detail.Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality when dealing with personal information, compensation and benefit information.Comprehensive working knowledge of Payroll Functions, including: Payroll Administration/Taxes, Policies/Procedures, Payroll System Management and Legal Compliance including Federal/State Wage & Hour Laws, FMLA/Paid Family Leave, Health Care Reform Act, ERISA, Unemployment and Tax Laws.Effectively resolve problems using independent judgement that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or law.Knowledge of benefit regulations and laws (e.g., ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, etc.) Upload resume and apply now!
